I went ahead and took another one of those "Candidate Matchup" quizes just for my amusement, and the fun thing about this one is that instead of merely saying who they think the best match is for you, they let you know how all the candidates match against you. Of course, anybody who takes these quizzes very seriously might want to think again, but I still think they're amusing.

Heh heh, look my results. Nice, neat divide between democrats and republicans. Being the left-leaning nonpartisan that I am, I kinda wish they had third party candidates on the result list too just to see, but oh well.

87% Mike Gravel
80% Dennis Kucinich
76% John Edwards
75% Barack Obama
73% Chris Dodd
72% Joe Biden
69% Bill Richardson
69% Hillary Clinton

37% Ron Paul
32% John McCain
30% Mike Huckabee
30% Rudy Giuliani
30% Tom Tancredo
23% Mitt Romney
19% Fred Thompson

You can take the quiz yourself here: http://www.gotoquiz.com/candidates/2008-quiz.html

I tend to end up with Gravel as the best match followed by Kucinich, but usually quizzes tell me that Obama is third. Interesting! Again though, that's what the quizzes say, and I think the quizzes tend to be kind of silly.

And is anybody else disappointed to see net neutrality and digital rights not getting any attention at all? Very sad!

What do we know about the current administrations official position on net neutrality or the lack thereof? And governments aside, what about the corporations? I'll do a bit of surfing on this myself, it's an area I don't know enough about, but I'd appreciate any links or pointers from forum members too. Thanks.

The current administration isn't really addressing the issue.

Obama has gone out of his way to say that he supports net neutrality, which made me very happy. Ron Paul, who is usually quite good about rights and such, once again disappointed me by taking the pro-business decision that the government should not be involved, like he always does. He doesn't like to talk about net neutrality very much though because so many of his supporters are avid internet users who, like me, wouldn't be very happy to hear that.

But yeah. Most candidates aren't addressing it at all! Lame!
