Zero Ballistics is a unique blend of first person shooter and tank combat, focusing on multiplayer gaming exclusively.

Description
Zero Ballistics is a multiplayer online, fast-paced tank action game in which two opposing teams battle each other with heavily armed and armored tanks.

Players control their tank from the ego-perspective and fire weapons with a ballistic trajectory at their enemies, which requires a good aiming skill.

As the game progresses, players are able to upgrade their tanks with weapon, speed and armor enhancements (some of these upgrades can been seen on the screenshots).

Each tank has a selection of weapons the player can use. The primary gun fires ballistic projectiles, which are rather slow but do a fair amount of damage. The secondary weapon is a machine gun that does little damage but is a good weapon to finish off an opponent. It is also possible to lay anti-tank mines and you can even upgrade your tank to do ram damage.

Zero Ballistics is primarily a tactical tank game, but features a unique idea concerning gameplay. More details about that idea are going to be revealed at a later time.
As you can see from the screenshots, Zero Ballistics provides some fast driving and firing action, but only the team with the best teamplay and the most sophisticated tactics will be able to win!

A real time strategy game that attempts to eliminate micromanagement.

Globulation 2, or Glob2 for short, is a Real-Time Strategy [RTS] game which aims to minimize micro-management by automatically assigning tasks to units. The player chooses the number of units he wants to assign to various tasks and the units will do their best to satisfy the requests. This allows the user to focus on strategies rather than managing individual units.

It can be played by a single player, through your Local Area Network [LAN], or through the Internet thanks to Ysagoon Online Game [YOG]. It also features Artificial Intelligence for playing against computer teams, a scripting language for versatile gameplay or tutorials and an integrated map editor.

Freeciv is a Free and Open Source empire-building strategy game inspired by the history of human civilization. The game commences in prehistory and your mission is to lead your tribe from the stone age to the space age...

Freeciv is a multiplayer, turn-based strategy game for workstations and personal computers inspired by the commercial proprietary Sid Meier’s Civilization series. The latest stable version of Freeciv is 2.1.3, released on January 23, 2008. The game’s default settings are closest to Civilization II, both in gameplay and graphics (including the units and the isometric grid).

Players take the role of a tribe leader in 4000 BC and have to guide their people through the centuries. Over time, new technologies are discovered, which allow the construction of new city buildings and the deployment of new units. Players can wage war on one another or form diplomatic relationships.

The game ends when one civilization has eradicated all others, accomplished the goal of space colonization, or at a certain deadline. If more than one civilization remains at the deadline, the player with the highest score wins. Points are awarded for the size of a civilization, its wealth, and cultural and scientific advances.

Scorched 3D is a turn-based artillery game modeled after the classic DOS game Scorched Earth "The Mother Of All Games".

Scorched 3D is a game based loosely (or actually quite heavily now) on the classic DOS game Scorched Earth “The Mother Of All Games”. Scorched 3D adds amongst other new features a 3D island environment and LAN and internet play. Scorched 3D is totally free and is available for both Microsoft Windows and Unix (Linux, FreeBSD, Mac OS X, Solaris etc.) operating systems.

At its lowest level, Scorched 3D is just an artillery game with two+ tanks taking turns to destroy opponents in an arena. Choose the angle, direction and power of each shot, launch your weapon, and try to blow up other tanks.

But Scorched 3D can be a lot more complex than that, if you want it to be. You can earn money from successful battles and use it to invest in additional weapons and accessories.

You can play with up to twenty four other players at a time, mixing computer players with humans. There’s a variety of changing environmental conditions and terrains to be dealt with.

The Battle for Wesnoth is a turn-based strategy game with a fantasy theme.

Build up a great army, gradually turning raw recruits into hardened veterans. In later games, recall your toughest warriors and form a deadly host against whom none can stand! Choose units from a large pool of specialists, and hand-pick a force with the right strengths to fight well on different terrains against all manner of opposition.

Wesnoth has many different sagas waiting to be played out. Fight to regain the throne of Wesnoth, of which you are the legitimate heir… step into the boots of a young officer sent to guard a not-so-sleepy frontier outpost… vanquish a horde of undead warriors unleashed by a foul necromancer, who also happens to have taken your brother hostage… guide a band of elvish survivors in an epic quest to find a new home.

200+ unit types. 16 races. 6 major factions. Hundreds of years of history. The world of Wesnoth is absolutely huge and limited only by your creativity – make your own custom units, compose your own maps, and write your own scenarios or even full-blown campaigns. You can also challenge up to 8 friends – or strangers – and fight in epic multi-player fantasy battles.
